Frequently Asked Questions

Will getting lip fillers hurt?

No, although you may feel a slight discomfort as we inject the filler into your lips. To ensure minimal pain, we’ll numb your lips with a topical anaesthetic cream just before your treatment.

How big will my lips get?

We’ll give you our professional advice and discuss the type of look you would like to achieve during your consultation. For the most natural-looking results, we prefer to use Juvéderm, the world’s leading Hyaluronic Acid (HA) facial filler.

How long does a lip filler treatment take?

Our quick and simple treatment takes between 20 and 30 minutes to complete.

Will I bruise or bleed after getting fillers?

It’s normal to experience some mild redness, swelling and bruising after your treatment. Most of our clients find that this tends to fade after a few days.

How quickly will I see results?

You should start to see your final results within a week, once any temporary swelling or bruising fades.

How long do lip fillers last?

Although results vary from person to person, most of our clients find that their lip fillers usually last between six to eight months.

Can I wear makeup after the treatment?

Although it might be tempting, we recommend that you avoid wearing makeup and lip products for at least 24 hours after the treatment.

Is there anything else I should avoid following the treatment?

It’s best to avoid exercising and drinking caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours after your treatment. We also recommend staying away from extreme temperature changes, such as saunas and hot showers, to minimise the risk of bruising.
